El Cavino
If you’re looking for a trip where you can learn about the world of wine and enjoy the delights of the Camino de Santiago with all the comforts, you’ll find it on El Cavino Clásico, an eight-day journey from Logroño to Santiago in six non-consecutive, relatively easy walks of 10 to 14 km on the Camino Francés, Camino de Levante and Camino de Invierno.
Along the way, we’ll visit five wineries that produce Denomination of Origin (DO) wines: DO Rioja, DO Ribera del Duero, DO Toro, DO Bierzo and DO Ribeira Sacra.
We’ll stay at four- and five-star hotels in top locations in the cities we visit (Logroño, Burgos, Valladolid, Ponferrada, Monforte de Lemos and Lugo), and enjoy genuine pilgrim accommodation at Parador Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, in Santiago de Compostela.

El Cavino Gran Reserva
If you’re looking for a relaxing trip to discover a Spanish river that’s closely linked to the world of wine, you’ve found it right here: EL CAVINO GRAN RESERVA – Walk the Río Duero.
The eight-day trip takes in four walks of the GR14 along the Río Duero, focusing on wine and visiting five wineries, each with a different Denomination of Origin: DO Ribera del Duero, DO Rueda, DO Toro, DO Arribes del Duero, and probably the world’s oldest, DO Oporto. The easy walks are around 10 km each.
We’ll also enjoy a day cruising down the Duero, from Douro Alto to Oporto.
We’ll stay at four- and five-star hotels in top locations in Burgo de Osma and Monasterio de Valbuena (including entry to the thermal pools), Tordesillas, Zamora, Regua, and two nights in Oporto, the city that gave its name to Portugal.

El Cavino del Norte
If you like a challenge, El Cavino del Norte is the trip for you. As well as learning more about wine, we’ll have the chance to discover the world of cider and beer. And, of course, enjoy the unique beauty of El Camino de Santiago along the Cantabrian Coast.
El Cavino del Norte is an eight-day trip from Vitoria-Gastéiz to Santiago de Compostela, in six non-consecutive walks on El Camino de Santiago del Norte and one on El Camino Inglés. The walks are around 9-13 km, so you need to be fit and in good health. The effort is worth it, for the reward of the spectacular scenery.
We’ll tour wineries with DO Getariako Txakolina, DO Bizkaiko Txakolina and PGI Vinos de la Costa de Cantabria, and visit a cider mill and the Mundo Estrella Galicia beer museum.
We’ll stay at four- and five-star hotels in top locations in Vitoria-Gastéiz, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Santillana del Mar, Ribadeo, La Coruña and, of course, genuine pilgrim accommodation at Parador Hostal de los Reyes Católicos de Santiago de Compostela.

El Camino with Denomination of Origin
An exciting journey into the past, accompanied by the best wines. An invitation to savour tradition, quality and the spirit of centuries of history. A unique journey on El Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James) visiting five wineries with internationally recognised Denominations of Origin: Rioja, Ribera de Duero, Toro, Bierzo and Ribeira Sacra.
A perfect opportunity to leave the world behind and enjoy a different, delightful and unique Camino de Santiago.
If you want to learn about, experience, and discover the universe of our best wines, this is the Way.

A new way.
A whole world to discover
For centuries, millions of travellers have trodden the many paths that lead to Santiago de Compostela, seeking peace and quiet, nature, friendship and companionship, beauty, fun, history, wellbeing…
We’ve added a new and exclusive dimension: El Cavino, an eight-day journey where you’ll enjoy six non-consecutive walks on the Camino Francés, Camino de Levante and Camino de Invierno, and delve into the fascinating universe of wine as a special guest at five Spanish Denomination of Origin wineries.
Wine and sensations on each walk
Closely associated with wine through its monasteries, El Camino de Santiago has always had strong links with international winemaking and trading. Countless vine stocks were brought to Spain by pilgrims and monks seeking to populate or evangelise the Iberian Peninsula. The wine-producing regions in the monasteries’ area of influence owe a great deal to the magical, myth-laden pilgrimage way: culture, cuisine, the types of wines, and the varieties and unique features found at each legendary winery.
