If you\u2019re looking for a trip where you can learn about the world of wine and enjoy the delights of the Camino de Santiago with all the comforts, you\u2019ll find it on El Cavino Cl\u00e1sico, an eight-day journey from Logro\u00f1o to Santiago in six non-consecutive, relatively easy walks of 10 to 14 km on the Camino Franc\u00e9s, Camino de Levante and Camino de Invierno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way, we\u2019ll visit five wineries that produce Denomination of Origin (DO) wines: DO Rioja, DO Ribera del Duero, DO Toro, DO Bierzo and DO Ribeira Sacra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Cavino Gran Reserva<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking for a relaxing trip to discover a Spanish river that\u2019s closely linked to the world of wine, you\u2019ve found it right here: EL CAVINO GRAN RESERVA \u2013 Walk the R\u00edo Duero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eight-day trip takes in four walks of the GR14 along the R\u00edo Duero, focusing on wine and visiting five wineries, each with a different Denomination of Origin: DO Ribera del Duero, DO Rueda, DO Toro, DO Arribes del Duero, and probably the world\u2019s oldest, DO Oporto. The easy walks are around 10 km each.
We\u2019ll also enjoy a day cruising down the Duero, from Douro Alto to Oporto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll stay at four- and five-star hotels in top locations in Burgo de Osma and Monasterio de Valbuena (including entry to the thermal pools), Tordesillas, Zamora, Regua, and two nights in Oporto, the city that gave its name to Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Cavino del Norte is an eight-day trip from Vitoria-Gast\u00e9iz to Santiago de Compostela, in six non-consecutive walks on El Camino de Santiago del Norte and one on El Camino Ingl\u00e9s. The walks are around 9-13 km, so you need to be fit and in good health. The effort is worth it, for the reward of the spectacular scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll tour wineries with DO Getariako Txakolina, DO Bizkaiko Txakolina and PGI Vinos de la Costa de Cantabria, and visit a cider mill and the Mundo Estrella Galicia beer museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closely associated with wine through its monasteries, El Camino de Santiago has always had strong links with international winemaking and trading. Countless vine stocks were brought to Spain by pilgrims and monks seeking to populate or evangelise the Iberian Peninsula. The wine-producing regions in the monasteries\u2019 area of influence owe a great deal to the magical, myth-laden pilgrimage way: culture, cuisine, the types of wines, and the varieties and unique features found at each legendary winery.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
